The Tuileries Palace, home to French kingsbefore it was destroyed, could be rebuilt after the French government created a commission to draw plans for its restoration. The 300 million euro construction project near the Louvre museum and the Place de la Concorde would be a replica of the original palace and would also serve as museum space.

British art experts believe that one of Australia's prized paintings by Vincent Van Gogh could be a fake. The $20 million painting by the Dutch master was purchased by the Melbourne-based National Gallery in 1940. In an interview the director of the museum says he is open to discussion on the subject.
